Dover couple falls victim to home improvement scam

Last weekend, an elderly couple from Dover Township may have been the victims of a Home Improvement Scam.

Four young men from a paving company attended their home and offered to pave their driveway.

The couple paid the men $3000 for their services.

The men did a poor job and did not return to correct their work.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind homeowners to ensure the work actually needs to be done before agreeing to a deal.

Do not feel pressured to accept their offer. In most cases, if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
