Mr. Donald Brooke Henderson, of Wallaceburg, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the CKHA “Sydenham Campus” in Wallaceburg, at the age of 81.
Donald was born in Simcoe, Ontario and was a son of the late James and Elizabeth (Donaldson) Henderson. Beloved husband of the late Melba (Butler) Henderson (2003). Loving father of Kevin Henderson. Kind brother of Agnes Male and Jim Henderson both of Chatham. Predeceased by his brother William Henderson and his sisters Margaret Henderson and Jeannie Cox. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Donald was a Masonic Past Master of Pnyx Baldoon Lodge No. 312 Wallaceburg and St. Clair Lodge No. 425 (Sombra). He was also a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Right. He was also a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 18, Wallaceburg. Donald served in the Royal Canadian Navy, and was a retiree of Oxford Automotive, Wallaceburg.
Following Donald’s wishes, cremation will take place. A private family service will take place at a later date. Interment in Riverview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Charity of your choice.
As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in Memory of Donald Henderson.
