A group of Elvis Presley enthusiasts and filmmakers from Canada and US are set to pay respect to the King and to all the Elvis Tribute Artists from around the world creating a film that will become a collectable item: “Elvis: The Legend Continues”
The Canadian filmmakers are Chatham-Kent’s Florin Marksteiner of Productionmark, award winning director, and Jeremy Peters of JP Cinematography.
They have a track record in filmmaking and are already distributed across USA. Florin Marksteiner’s latest projects are “Under Pressure” and “J…”, short films that was produced exclusively in Chatham-Kent.
Jeremy Peters comes all the way from Manitoba and he’s developing his filmmaking talent in Southwestern Ontario, enriching the entertainment scene. They paired with producer Tom Kornas of TAN Promotions from Ohio and this spring they embarked on a journey that will take them in a world where everyone breaths and lives Elvis, from looks, to life style, from simple knick knacks to giant collections and, of course to the memorizing side of it: the Elvis Tribute Artists.
“This documentary will bring the fans a little bit closer to their idol; will bring the world wide “league” of Elvis Tribute Artists together in one film to explain how they do it and what’s the reasons that drives them to keep Elvis alive and to continue the legend,” stated Florin Marksteiner.
“In this collectable item you’ll be able to watch interviews with people that knew Elvis first hand, and, of course, those that continue the legend which we’ll be following in their own hometowns across USA and Canada and even around the world. There is a chance even for you to be included in this collectable.”
In pictures you can see the first Elvis Tribute Artist involved in the project: Travis Albertson from Austin, Indiana.
“We set the premiere date on January 8th 2017 specially to celebrate Elvis Presley’s birthday and we are working to collaborate with fan clubs from around the world to have the film screened in every major city.” Tom Kornas, the documentary producer told us.
