The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a search warrant in Wallaceburg.
In September 2010, the court imposed a weapons prohibition on the man for life.
Yesterday afternoon, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Dufferin Avenue.
A Mossberg .22 caliber rifle and ammunition were seized.
Officers also located methamphetamine and a large amount of cash.
A 34-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order, careless storage of a firearm and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
