The Heart and Stroke Foundation is thanking Chatham-Kent for their outstanding support during its annual Big Bike fundraising campaign.

In total, the community raised $105,737, with more to come from incoming corporate matches.

The funds raised from this event are used for education, advocacy and to fund research.

Heart and Stroke officials said over 80 teams participated in eight Big Bike days across Chatham-Kent this May.

Given the interest. Heart and Stroke Chatham-Kent are planning an additional Big Bike day in August.

Details are set to be released soon.

“Although the Chatham-Kent branch exceeded its revenue goals for Big Bike, there are still deficits to be made up for from other campaigns. For this reason, we are reaching out to this incredible community for support once again,” Heart and Stroke officials said.
