A Sarnia company is being recommended to conduct the work on the new LKCS sports field project in Dresden.
C&C Enterprises Electrical Construction Ltd. is being recommended by the Lambton-Kent District School Board for the work on the back campus project at Dresden’s high school.
C&C entered the lowest total bid of $501,978.30, compared to Henry Heyink Construction out of Chatham, who entered a $539,051.50 bid.
The project is expected to include the following improvements:
– The installation of a sports field irrigation system
– The resurfacing of all soccer fields
– The installation of a 400 metre running track
– The addition of a baseball diamond
– The expansion of the community Trillium Trail
– The construction of community washroom and storage facilities.
The bid also includes plans to provide fencing around the sports field property.
The budget for the project incorporates the $418,150 raised through the community fundraising project initiative.
The school board trustees will vote on this report at Tuesday’s meeting.
