The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman in connection with a theft investigation.
Last night around 8:10 p.m. the woman attended the Winners store located at 811 St. Clair Street in Chatham and stole approximately $600 worth of merchandise the woman was observed fleeing the area prior to police arrival.
Officers located the woman hiding across the road and he was taken into custody.
The 41-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.
She was later released with a future court date to answer to the charges.
