Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Chatham-Kent.
Showers and isolated thunderstorms giving local amounts of 30 to 40 mm.
A cold front moving through Southern Ontario today will generate showers and isolated thunderstorms. With a very moist air mass in place, these showers and thunderstorms could produce local amounts of 30 to 40 mm by this evening.
Localized amounts exceeding 50 mm are possible and warnings may be required. Environment Canada meteorologists will continue to monitor this developing situation closely.
