A Chatham man has been charged after allegedly committing an indecent act at a school playground.
Yesterday morning around 7:40 a.m. an employee at Winston Churchill Public School on Crystal Drive in Chatham observed a man committing an indecent act while sitting on a piece of playground equipment.
Although the daycare was open and operational, there were no children outside at the time of the incident.
The man fled on a bicycle however officers located him in an alley off Phillip Street.
Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of pornographic material, methamphetamine and marijuana.
The 22-year-old Chatham man has been charged with committing an indecent act and two counts of drug possession.
He was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.
