The investigation is on-going after a car flipped into a ditch on Tuesday evening outside of Port Lambton.
Const. Jamie Stanley of the OPP told the Sydenham Current that a Chevrolet Malibu was travelling eastbound on Lambton Line on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 5:20 p.m.
“The vehicle went through the intersection at Highway 40, narrowly missing a northbound vehicle,” Stanley said.
The vehicle “went into a slide and into a ditch, rolled over onto its roof, resting on a culvert.”
Stanley said the driver, an 87-year-old St. Clair Township man, and the passenger, an 89-year-old St. Clair Township woman, had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Stanley said they were sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the OPP, St. Clair Township Fire Department and Chatham-Kent EMS were at the scene, Stanley said.
Police are still investigating.
