Here is Coun. McGregor’s full motion:

“That the Wallaceburg Splash Pad committee, “Let’s make a SPLASH (pad) Wallaceburg” be granted permission to fundraise and construct a splash pad on municipal property at Collwell Park on Running Creek Drive, Wallaceburg. Once all funds are in place and it is built, it will then be turned over to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to take ownership and pay the utilities and lifecycle cost. It is also requested that the Balance Sheet Account be set up with the Municipality through the finance department and that the finance department issue tax donation receipts for amounts over $20. If approved, this project would be treated and supported similar to those in Tilbury, Merlin, Bothwell and Thamesville.”
