The Selkirk History Faire

Where History comes alive!

The Selkirk History Faire is an annual living history adventure. It is located on the beautiful Snye River. The actual spot the Scottish Settlers Landed in 1804.
This event is a unique re-enactment/rendezvous. It depicts life in a frontier encampment from 1775 to 1840.

From cooking fire techniques to tomahawk throwing, canon fire to Native dancing. Be a part of it all as Voyageurs paddle by in their North canoes.
Visiting children can try their hand at rope making, corn husking and other skills, presented by the local Museum.
Stroll through the encampment while listening to fiddle music. There will be other entertainers to entertain you and much, much more. Be sure to keep an eye out for the Baldoon Witch.

We will have food available for sale to the public on site.
Porta-johns will be available for public and re-enactors to use.
Please no lawn chairs in the encampment. For your convenience, we will provide straw bales and benches for sitting.
We are trying to maintain as much authenticity on our site for your enjoyment.
