The Port Lambton Pirates rookie team are All-Ontario champions.
The group of eight and nine-year-old boys (and one seven-year-old) travelled to Kingsville for the Ontario Baseball Association tournament and went undefeated heading into the finals.
The Pirates squared off against Woodslee in the finals and lost the first match-up on Sunday 7-4 in the double knock-out tournament.
Port Lambton redeemed themselves in the second game, winning 8-0 and capturing the OBA championship.
This is reportedly the first OBA win by a Port Lambton baseball team in more than 40 years.
The boys celebrated their win today with a fire truck ride around Port Lambton.
