Mr. Peter Lauwereys of Wallaceburg, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the age of 85 years. He was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late Norbert and Angela (DeBurger) Lauwereys.
Beloved husband of Barbara (Blake) Lauwereys. Loving father of Cindy (Tim) Shepley, Wendy (Chris Gauthier) Lauwereys and the late Joanne Lauwereys. Dear grandfather of Greg (Tiffany) Adam (Beth-Anne) Jason (Danielle) Jeff (Virginia) Jamie (Charles) Stacey (John) and Brad. Great grandfather of Hunter, Aubrey, Hope, Parker, Vincent, Danielle, Vaughn, Madison, Hailey, Quinton, Chloe, Layne and Olivia. Kind brother-in-Law of Madeline, Nancy, Dorothy, Scott, Gina, Eileen (Frank), Connie (Don), Calvin (Sharon) and Cathy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Lloyd, Theodore, Casey, Albert, Joe, George, Rene and his sisters Dorothy and Mary.
The late Peter Lauwereys is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Prayers will be at 3:45 on Monday and a Legion service will follow at 4pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11am from Our Lady Of Help Church.
