2015 Campaign Co-Chairs Kelly Bayda and Aimee June announced a fundraising goal of $2,015,000 at the annual campaign kick-off held Monday at the Civic Centre in downtown Chatham.

“Our target is an ambitious but – we believe – achievable increase over last year’s $1.9 million,” said Kelly.

The gathering downtown included the presentation of pacesetter gifts from the United Way Staff, United Way Board, Campaign Cabinet, Funded Agencies and other corporations, businesses, employee groups and individuals.

“We are grateful so many were able to come out today and help us kick start our campaign. The amount pledged is an encouraging step towards the achievement of our goal,” said Aimee June.

Following the official kick-off Kelly and Aimee made a brief presentation to Municipal Council about the work of United Way in our community that concluded with the debut of United Way of Chatham-Kent’s “Everyday Hero” video.
