Ellen M. Brown of Wallaceburg and formerly of Port Lambton, died peacefully in Chatham on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the age of 92.
Ellen is the daughter of Sheldon Percy & Mary Mamie (Abrams) Armitage. Beloved wife of the late John ‘Joffre’ Brown. Loving mother of Pat Brown (Shirley), Donald Brown (the late Senga), Gayle Authier, Lee Anne Brown, Lynn Myers (Kenneth), Mary Lou McGuire (Pat) and the late Douglas Brown. Dear grandmother of Jason, Heather, Corey, Micheal, Keith, Kelly, Joseph, Allen, Shawn and Nathan. Great grandmother of 16 and great great grandmother of 1 ½. Sister of the late John Armitage (Corrie), Norma Richie (Richard) and Kenneth Armitage.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Thursday, September 24 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
