The Wallaceburg Kinsmen held their inaugural Pumpkinfest event on Saturday behind the Kinsmen Community Centre.
The group was thrilled to raise some funds through various raffles and silent auctions.
“A big thank you to everyone who came out to the first Wallaceburg Pumpkinfest yesterday,” the Wallaceburg Kinsmen said on social media.
“Through your generosity we were able to raise $5,500 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. We hope everyone had a good time and hope to see you all again next year.”
The raffle winners at the event included, Wendy Dennings, who won two round trip West Jet tickets, Cheryl Cameron, who won a Via Rail voucher and Gord Lilley, who won the party cooler donated by Bob’s Animal Removal.
