The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a traffic stop in the Pain Court area.

Yesterday afternoon, police received a complaint of a man operating a lawnmower on Winterline Road while in possession of alcohol.

An officer located the man sitting on the grass cutting machine in the northbound lane of Winterline Road, just north of Normandin Line.

The man was in possession of a cooler containing beer.

Through investigation, police learned that he was currently bound by conditions from Alberta not to possess alcohol or drive a motor vehicle.

The 48-year-old Dover Township man was charged with two counts of failing to comply.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
