The coldest air of the season is settling in tonight, which has triggered a frost advisory for Chatham-Kent by Environment Canada.
Temperatures will fall to near or just below the freezing mark with a freeze in some areas. There will be some wind which will limit frost formation to some extent but the freezing conditions warrants an advisory.
Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
Weather Advisories for Frost are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. To report severe weather, send an email to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #ONStorm.
