Yesterday, the Chatham-Kent Police Service released an image of a suspect responsible for the theft of a gas tank from a convenience store in Thamesville.

Through the power of social media, family and friends recognized the suspect. The 51-year-old Thamesville man subsequently returned the gas tank to its rightful owner. The victim was pleased with the quick resolution and wished no further police involvement.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to thank everyone who shared or retweeted the information which ultimately resulted in this case being solved.
