Update: Vicious attack in Wallaceburg

The Chatham-Kent Police Service has released new information about the vicious attack in Wallaceburg on Monday.

Police say on Monday, October 19 around 1:45 a.m. police responded to a residence on Elgin Street.

Unknown suspects entered the home and assaulted a woman.

The 31-year-old woman was airlifted to a London hospital.

She has since been released from hospital.

“The Chatham-Kent Police Service has no information to believe that the public is at any greater risk following this incident,” police officials stated.

The Major Crime Unit continues to investigate and urges anyone with information to contact Constable Dan Hamilton at 519-436-6600 extension #284.
