Trafficking charges laid after Chatham drug bust

Last night, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence in Chatham.

Approximately $28,000 worth of marijuana, cannabis resin, cocaine and methamphetamine was seized.

Drug paraphernalia, Canadian and US currency and contraband cigarettes were also seized.

A 44-year-old Chatham man has been charged with four counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 62-year-old Chatham man has been charged with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking.

He was released pending a future court date of November 26, 2015.
