A Wallaceburg teen is in Toronto this weekend to compete in an annual agricultural event.
Lauren Gough and her heifer Patti will be competing in the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
Gough will be showing during the competition on Sunday and Monday.
The 14-year-old was reserve grand champion show person at her 4-H achievement day this year. Her placements at local summer and fall fairs also helped her qualify for the Royal.
Gough was required to use the same animal for the entire 4H season.
Her heifer Patti (officially named HFC Eve’s Lil Patti) is 7 1/2 months old and is owned by Dugal Smith of Huffs Corners Speckle Park Farm
Other local 4-H members at the Royal include Elliot Smith of Croton, Hannah Sikkema and Jacob Sikkema from the Blenheim/Ridgetown area.
