OPP & Sarnia Police team up for drug bust

police-sirens-2The Lambton OPP and the Sarnia Police Service teamed up for a drug bust on Friday evening.

On November 6, 2015 in the early evening hours, the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant in the 800 Block of Wellington Street within the City of Sarnia, Ontario.

As a result of this warrant and subsequent search of a residential premise, the OPP seized suspected Methamphetamine, Marijuana and a rifle.

Subsequently, a 19 year old female of The City of Sarnia was charged with Possession of a Narcotic for the Purpose of Trafficking and must appear at the Sarnia Court House on December 30, 2015 to answer to said allegation.

As well, a 61 year old male of The City of Sarnia was charged with Possession of a Narcotic for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Narcotic and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm. He is required to appear at the Sarnia Court House on December 30, 2015 to answer to said allegation.

It should be noted that this warrant was a result of a coordinated effort between the OPP and the Sarnia Police Service.

“When it comes to the unlawful possession of narcotics and firearms the OPP and the Sarnia Police Service have no boundaries,” Lambton OPP officials stated. “The OPP and Sarnia Police Service will continue to work united in an effort to keep our communities free from serious offences such as drugs and guns.”
