In celebration of “Global Entrepreneurship Week”, The Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board (CKWPB) hosted “Entrepreneur 101”; an event for Grade 10 Business and Career high school students. This event will help students realize the entrepreneurial skills and personality traits that will help them be successful.

CKWPB is pleased to work with community partners, including: Junior Achievement – Southwestern Ontario, Small Business Centre, St. Clair College – Genesis Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre, YMCA Learning and Career Centre, The Co-operators and Investors Group.

Approximately 150 students were set to attend one day of the workshop (Tuesday, November 17, Wednesday, November 18, or Thursday, November 19, 2015) at the Children’s Safety Village (for a total of 450 students).

Schools were provided an opportunity to attend one of the three days.

During the event students will learn about being an entrepreneur through a series of workshops and activities developed to provide them a working knowledge of the skills and traits that will promote innovation and entrepreneurial attitudes.
