On October 27, 2015 around 2:38 p.m. emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Erieau Road and Bisnett Line in Harwich Township.
A southbound Chevrolet Impala turned left onto Bisnett Line and in doing so, turned directly into the path of a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and later airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London.
The female driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
On November 6, 2015, Clifford ‘Jamie’ Stokes, 49 years of Erieau died as a result of his injuries.
Yesterday, a 59-year-old Blenheim woman was charged with careless driving.
She will be required to attend court on January 20, 2016.
