Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston made a great impression with his new professional lacrosse club on Sunday.

Playing in a preseason scrimmage game against the Colorado Mammoth on Dec. 6, Durston recorded a hat-trick in the Vancouver Stealth’s 9-8 victory.

Down 8-6 after three quarters, Durston scored the game-tying goal in the fourth, before the Stealth completed the comeback late in the game.

Durston is hoping to crack the roster for the Stealth, who open the 2016 schedule at the Langley Events Centre on January 9 against the New England Black Wolves.

The Wallaceburg Lacrosse product and two-time Minto Cup champion with Six Nations was drafted in the second round, 19th overall, by the Stealth in the 2015 National Lacrosse League (NLL) draft.

Durston was the first player taken by the Vancouver squad, who did not have a first round pick.

The Stealth finished with a 5-13 record last year, the second worst in the entire NLL and last in the West division.
