Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston will be playing professional lacrosse come 2016.

The 21-year-old has been named to the final roster for the Vancouver Stealth of the National Lacrosse League.

After a few weeks of training camp, the Stealth trimmed their roster down to 20 on Wednesday. The two-time Minto Cup champion and former Wallaceburg Red Devil was the only draft pick made by Vancouver this year to make the final cut. Durston was drafted in the second round, 19th overall.

Durston made a great first impression with the club on Dec. 6, while playing in a preseason scrimmage game against the Colorado Mammoth. Durston recorded a hat-trick in the Stealth’s 9-8 victory.

Durston and the Stealth will open the 2016 schedule at the Langley Events Centre on January 9 against the New England Black Wolves.
