The Chatham-Kent Police Service will be holding a press conference on Tuesday to discuss the rash of truck thefts that occurred between August and November in Wallaceburg.
Media have been invited to the ‘old council chambers’ at the Wallaceburg Service Centre, 786 Dufferin Ave for 11 a.m.
Back in October, Chatham-Kent police officials told the Sydenham Current that since August a total of 17 trucks were stolen in the Wallaceburg area.
Const. Renee Cowell, public information officer, said Chevy and GMC trucks were being targeted.
After after a high speed chase in the early morning hours of November 3, an 18-year-old Munsee-Delaware First Nation man and a 16-year-old Chippewas of the Thames First Nation youth were arrested. The 18-year-old had been driving a truck that was stolen from Wallaceburg.
