A shakeup has taken place once again on the Wallaceburg Lakers bench.

Reports say Mark Swayze stepped down from his role as head coach with the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League club, after the team lost to Blenheim on Sunday 10-1.

Swayze was in his first season as head coach with the team, and they are currently a distant last in the league with a 3-27-0 record.

The Wallaceburg Courier Press is reporting that Swayze will remain with the club as their assistant general manager.

CKSN is reporting that Dresden native Derek Ellis has been named the new head coach.
