The investigation is on-going after a house fire ignited outside of Mitchell’s Bay.
At approximately 11:28 a.m. emergency crews attended to an address at 7233 W. Lewis Line, in Dover Township in response to a residential fire.
Fire officials say about $150,000 damage was caused in the blaze, while $100,000 worth of property was saved.
“Firefighters arrived at the scene of a working fire at a single family home,” said Alan DeVillaer, assistant chief.
“All occupants had been able to leave the residence uninjured. Fire crews extinguished the fire in the garage with heavy smoke damage to the remainder home. There were no injuries and no other structures were damaged.”
