A new champion has been crowned, and she hails from Wallaceburg.
Lauren Gough won the Silver Ladle Award for Best Spaghetti Sauce at Chatham-Kent 4H’s spaghetti dinner fundraiser held on Saturday at the Dresden Arena.
Gough tied for first place for Judges Choice.
The 14-year-old improved upon her second place finish from last year.
The money raised on Saturday goes to offset the 2016 registration fees for 4-H. The total has yet to be tallied.
The Chatham Kent 4H Rally Night and registration is being held Feb. 27 at the Ridgetown Campus of the University of Guelph.
The group is intended for youth ages 9 to 21.
