The Wallaceburg and District Chamber of Commerce is holding their monthly After Hours at the Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre.

The networking event will be held on Thursday, January 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the 205 James Street location in Wallaceburg.

“We are actually having a few little surprises,” said Cheryl Burrage, coordinator at the Centre. “Maybe some people aren’t aware, but we have a new lady running our kitchen… Sue Misselbrook, so it’s Sue’s Kitchen. We are trying to feature her a little bit because she has some wonderful options.”

Burrage said Devin Andrews is coming to the event from Chatham to do a presentation about being “Age Friendly” in Chatham-Kent.

“Also of course, to promote our own Centre,” she said. I’m sure a lot of people may or may not know that you only have to be 45 to be a member. We have so many activities and programs here. There is something for everyone.”

Burrage said some of the Centre’s features will be on display on Thursday.

“We have a step class and then yoga after,” she said. “It’s a great time to come down and see what the Centre has to offer. It’s one of the fabulous things that we have to offer here in Wallaceburg.

Food will be provided by Sue’s Kitchen and a cash bar will be offered by the Black Goose Grill.

The items on Sue’s menu for Thursday, includes:

– Mini quiches

– Chicken bites

– Pin wheels

– Veggie pizzas

– Brownies

– Mini butter tarts

– Mini cheese cakes

Admission is $5 at the door.
