Police arrest three in Chatham drug bust

Early this morning, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section, Critical Incident Response Team and K9 Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on Murray Street in Chatham.

Officers searched the residence and located fentanyl, hydromorphone, methamphetamine, bear mace, insecure ammunition, materials used to fraudulently make fentanyl patches and a quantity of cash.

Three men were arrested and all charged with:

– Possession for the purposes of trafficking fentanyl

– Possession for the purposes of trafficking hydromorphone

– Possession of methamphetamine

– Possession of a prohibited weapon

– Careless storage of ammunition

– Fraud

The 47-year-old Chatham man was additionally charged with five counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.

The 58-year-old Chatham man was additionally charged with three counts of breaching his Prohibition Order.

The 38-year-old Chatham man was additionally charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

All three men have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
