A former Dresden resident, who has made national news recently after leading a historic surgery in Toronto, will be speaking back in his hometown.
The Dresden Rotary Club announced Dr. Steven McCabe will be their guest speaker at their annual banquet on Friday, April 15, at the Dresden Arena.
Dr. McCabe led a multi-disciplinary team to the successful completion of the country’s first transplant of the upper limb.
During the procedure, which lasted approximately 14 hours, Dr. McCabe a team of 18 surgeons attached the forearm and hand matched from a donor to a patient.
