Floren Van Vaerenberghe of Wallaceburg

Floren-Van-Vaerenberghe-1454248252Floren Edward “Buff” Van Vaerenberghe, a resident of Wallaceburg, died peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Chatham Hospital on Saturday, January 30, 2015 at the age of 80.

Floren is the son of the late Arthur & Jean (Hofmans) Van Vaerenberghe. Beloved husband of the late Doreen (Bassens) (January 26, 2015). Loving father of Laurie Jarvis (Gordon) of Hanover, Tracey Lilley (Gord) of Wallaceburg and Tim Van Vaerenberghe (Jackie Tourangeau) of Tecumseh. Dear grandfather of Quentin, Jillian and Larsson Jarvis, Stephen (Meaghan), Branden (Leah) and Mitchell Lilley and Kelley and Taylor Van Vaerenberghe. Dear great grandfather of Harper Lilley. Brother of Rosie & Murray Dierx.

Floren had retired from Vannatters Tool & Die with over 40 years of service and two watches. He was a draftsman who taught tool & die and blueprint design at St. Clair College and had designed hundreds of homes in Southwestern Ontario. He also loved travelling and cruising.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Holy Family Church on Thursday, February 4 at 10:30 AM.
