Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith scored one goal during the AHL All-Star Challenge on Monday evening in Syracuse, New York.
However, Griffith and his Atlantic Division teammates lost in the championship game of the event, 4-0.
The 23-year-old winger scored during the round robin play of the new format of the game.
The event consisted of four teams — one from each the Atlantic, North, Central and Pacific divisions. They played a six-game round-robin, games lasted nine minutes with play switching from 4-on-4 to 3-on-3 halfway through each game.
The top two teams after round robin play,battled in the final — a six-minute, 3-on-3 game.
Griffith and the Providence Bruins will be back in action on Saturday in Portland.
