Firefighters in Wallaceburg responded to a blaze at 919 Old Glass Road in Wallaceburg on Sunday night at around 10:15 p.m.
Alan DeVillaer, assistant chief with the Chatham-Kent Fire Department, told the Sydenham Current that the investigation is wrapped up, however the cause of the fire is undetermined.
“It was not deemed suspicious,” he said. “No one was home at the time, so there were no injuries.”
The fire was contained to the rear of the home and the attached garage, DeVillaer added.
Damage is pegged at $10,000.
