On Wednesday February 17, 2016 at approximately 10:44 a.m., Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a 911 call advising of a serious two vehicle, motor vehicle collision, at the intersection of Mandaumin Road and Lasalle Line, Enniskillen Township.
Lambton County OPP along with Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Enniskillen Fire Department responded.
Initial investigation revealed that a pickup truck traveling eastbound on Lasalle Line impacted with a northbound SUV that was traveling on Mandaumin Road.
Both drivers were transported to hospital by EMS.
The 78 year old male driver of the pickup truck sustained serious life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision while the 65 year old male driver of the SUV sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The area roadways surrounding the intersection of Mandaumin Road and Lasalle Line were closed for approximately two hours during the investigation.
The investigation is on-going and charges are pending.
