It appears Wallaceburg, Dresden and Chatham-Kent has “weathered the storm,” as a rainfall warning has ended across the region.
There are also no special weather statements, or freezing rain warnings in place for C-K.
The Environment Canada forecast this evening (Wednesday, Feb. 24) calls for periods of rain changing to snow after midnight. About 2 to 4 cm of snowfall is expected to fall. Wind gusts will reach 50 km/h and the temperature will fall to 0°C.
Thursday’s forecast is calling for periods of snow ending in the afternoon, then cloudy with 30 percent chance of flurries. About 2 cm of snow is expected.
There are currently no alerts in place for Sarnia-Lambton either.
