A special weather statement has been cancelled, and a freezing rain warning has been issued for Chatham-Kent.
Here is the information from Environment Canada:
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.
Freezing Rain expected for the next several hours.
Radar is indicating a developing band of freezing rain in the Windsor area. This area of precipitation may be mixed at times with snow or plain rain but freezing rain is expected to be the predominant form of precipitation.
Early this evening a cold front will sweep through the area, with precipitation switching over to snow and local blowing snow. This could combine to create poor visibilities for motorists during the evening hours. Total snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are expected up to midnight.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Utility outages may occur.
