Thamesville’s Dane Fox has been traded to the Carolina Hurricanes organization.
Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning announced on Monday that the Canucks had traded Fox to Carolina for future considerations.
Fox will join the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League, Carolina’s AHL affiliate.
Fox has spent the majority of the season with the Kalamazoo Wings in the ECHL.
The 22-year-old Dresden Area Central School graduate was leading the Wings with 26 goals in 53 games this season.
