Two local minor hockey teams from Dresden and Wallaceburg are in action today (Saturday, March 19) as they continue to strive for a provincial championship.
Wallaceburg hoping to fill the barn
The Wallaceburg Lakers Minor Midget squad is hosting Erin-Hillsburgh in Game 3 of their OMHA championship series.
The game will be played at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena and the puck drops at 6 p.m.
Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for seniors and students.
After two games, Wallaceburg has 3 points, while Erin-Hillsburgh has one. The Lakers won Game 1 by a score of 5-3, and they ties Game 2 by a score of 2-2.
The first team to 6 points will be crowned as provincial champs.
Dresden visiting Tweed
The Dresden Midget Rep squad can wrap up the provincial championship today, as they travel to Tweed for Game 3 of their series.
The Kings lead the series 2-0, and have 4 points. The first team to 6Â points will take home the championship banner.
Puck drops in Tweed at 3 p.m.
If necessary, game 4 is tomorrow in Tweed at 2:30 p.m.
