The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information from the public after a road rage incident in Chatham.
Police officials say at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday police spoke with the victim in the incident, who advised them he was driving in the area of Grand Avenue and St. Clair Street when another male driver attempted to cut him off.
Police say the driver continued to follow the victim, attempting to hit his vehicle, and coming within inches of causing a collision.
The incident continued throughout the city, and both parties stopped in a residential area in the south of Chatham.
The suspect driver exited his vehicle with a crowbar, and approached the victim’s vehicle.
The victim remained in his vehicle when the suspect used to the crowbar and smashed two window of the victim’s vehicle and caused damage to the top of the vehicle, before leaving the area.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a red Pontiac Firebird or Sunfire.
Police are looking for witnesses that may have observed this incident.

Maybe this guy was finally sick of having to dodge out of the way for all these stupid, ignorant drivers out here and snapped! There have been MANY times I myself would have loved to do that to some of these people out here who don’t know how to drive or got their license in a cereal box!!!!!!!!! I think maybe the police should go back to when people actually got ticketed for things like 1 headlight, no brake lights!, and failing to signal!….
There is something called the LAW and I hope the idiot who cause damage to this guys car is caught.
Not one of us is perfect and no one knows what is going on in a persons car or mind and sometimes stupid things happen.
Maybe his mom just died and he was on his way to the hospital? who knows you sure do not sick of it.
