Wallaceburg’s Joe Perry has completed his second Boston Marathon is as many years.
“I’m alive,” the 47-year-old posted on social media.
“I hurt but that’s what I get for running a marathon.”
Perry finished the race in three hours, 29 minutes and four seconds. This is slightly slower than his time in 2015 of 3:21:30.
“It was a rough day out there but it’s another experience I’ll never forget,” Perry said.
“Thank you for all the words of encouragement. I might take a nap now. I’ll try not to snore too loudly.”
Perry’s time places him in 7,372nd place overall, but in 996th place in his age division.
