G-29-214x300It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Jeanne Caron of Chatham, at the age of 84 years, announce her passing on Monday April 25th, 2016 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice. Cherished daughter of late Percy and Loretta Smith.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph (1988). Loving mother of Nicole Martin of Dresden, and Joette Gore (David) of Chatham, and loving step-mother of Jo-Anne McFadden (Charlie Stevenson) of Wallaceburg, Rochelle Chopp (Carl) of Binbrock, Carol Anne Babcock (Lance) of Chatham, and Ernest Caron of Wallaceburg. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Lindsay, Brian, Shawn, Becky, Kristal, Tammy, Joey, Cindy, Jackie, and John, and her great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Murray Smith of London. Predeceased by her daughter Angela Caron and her brother William Smith.

Jeanne was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, teacher and friend.

Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519 352-2710 on Wednesday April 27th with visiting from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 145 Victoria Ave., Chatham, on April 28th at 11 a.m. with Father John Sharp and Father Ray Lawhead celebrants. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
