GRAINGER_ERICKSONErickson: Grainger, a resident of Chatham and formerly of Thamesville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at St. Andrew’s Residence, Chatham on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the age of 97.

Born in Chatham, son of the late Henry and Clara (Grainger) Erickson. Predeceased by his first wife Mabel Lois (Powell) Erickson (1985) and his late wife Mabel Jacklin – Erickson (2015 ). Loving father of Ron Erickson (Donna), Wayne Erickson (Marie), Brent Erickson (Connie), Brian Erickson (Marjorie), Jolynne Handsor (Brad) and daughter-in-law Doreen Erickson. Survived by a step-daughter Noreen Jacklin (Norbert). Loving grandpa of Leah Ann, Craig, Brett (Mandy), Brad (Heather), Jeff (Michelle), Kimarie (Darren), Nicole (Rich), Michelle (Mike), Crystal (Mark), Scott (Stacy), Terrie (Tom), Melissa (Kevin), Kelsey, Blair and great-grandpa to Alexa, Drew, Brock, Mitchell, Jill, Brodie, Drew, Luke, Jake, Jenna Codie, Karissa, Brandon, Tyler, Allison, Jayden, Lyric, Harper, Katelyn, Quinn, Brooklyn, Nicholas, Jake, Charlie, Emma, and Rae Lynn. Dear brother of Bunny Apthorp (late Harold), Stan Erickson (late Rita), Elgin Erickson (Mary). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Arnie Holland (late Howard).

The Erickson family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Thursday from 2:00PM – 4:00PM and 7:00PM – 9:00PM. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00AM with the Rev. Bill Craven officiating.
