Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith wrapped up his season over the weekend, when the Providence Bruins bowed out of the AHL playoffs with a series loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Griffith was dominant the AHL this year, finishing in second place in the scoring race with 77 total points.

He was only three points behind Hershey Bears forward Chris Bourque, despite playing in 15 fewer games.

Griffith will be a Restricted Free Agent this offseason and he will become waiver eligible in September.

Back during the NHL Trade Deadline this season, it was reported that Griffith was being shopped around by the Boston Bruins, but he ended up staying out and playing the majority of the year with Providence.

The 23-year-old skated in four games with Boston this season, recording one assist and a -4 rating in limited action. In his rookie season, Griffith played in 30 games with Boston, scoring six goals and adding four assists for 10 points.

Griffith was also named to the AHL’s 1st All-Star Team this season.
