A Tilbury man faces weapons charges after an incident on the weekend.
Chatham-Kent police officials say on Sunday afternoon, two men drove by a residence for sale in the Tilbury area.
As they stopped in front of the residence on the roadway, the homeowner exited holding a rifle and yelled at them to stop looking at his house.
The men immediately drove away and contacted police.
Officers located the homeowner a short distance away from the residence and he was arrested.
Through investigation, police learned that the homeowner was currently prohibited from possessing any firearms.
Officers attended his residence and seized seven shotguns, three rifles, one crossbow and ammunition.
The 51-year-old Tilbury man has been charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited, careless storage of a firearm and careless storage of ammunition.
He was released pending a future court date of July 8, 2016.
