Canadian rockers Sloan closed out a night of LIVE music and partying in Dresden on Saturday at the 3rd annual Kinstock Music Festival.
Darren Wills, Dresden Kinsmen member and organizer of the event, told the Sydenham Current they are thrilled with the outcome.
“Looks like about 1,300 to 1,400 people,” Wills said.
“Great night.”
Sloan wrapped up the show in Dresden, who was preceded by local bands Walkin’ 47, Jessika Rabbit Band, Face 4 Radio and Round House featuring Jacklyn Wills.
“It was a blast playing Kinstock in (Dresden.)” Round House wrote on social media.
“Played for more than 1,400 last night. Not only did we get to meet Sloan, they heard us play and said we rocked it. We also had the chance to introduce them on stage. Also we’d like to give a massive (shout out) to Jackie Wills for playing with us. It was a blast and sounded great. We would like to send a thank you to all who participated in setting up yesterday.”
The rock and roll sound carried throughout the community, and even outside it.
“We can hear the music all the way in our house on the Kent Bridge Road,” wrote Jennifer Rose Pietens on the Sydenham Current Facebook page. “Good music.”
